In post-apocalyptic Canada, guns don't kill people - slapshots do. When the Edmonton Atomics aren't able to get the supplies they need on a road trip through southern Alberta, Skully has an idea that will take the team west, across the Rocky Mountains. Skully hopes they'll find more opponents and more resources in British Columbia. Back in Edmonton, Lizzy and her teammates on the Atomics' second line find themselves under siege - their rivals have found out the first line is gone, and flood into town hoping to take advantage of the back-ups. Can the second line withstand the grind, or will the Atomics return to a community stripped clean of its resources? Will the Atomics return at all? After discovering Ogopogo, and the cult of hockey mutants dedicated to keeping the mythical sea serpent fed, sudden death takes on all new meaning!
